Finally finished the walking stick of Goofy that I have been putting off for months, and sweating bullets about. I have just had a mental block about how to go about carving this. I have looked at multiple pictures and made a trial practice piece ( which looks like Junior) . I finished carving him this weekend and painted it up on Monday. took some pictures of it which C. took out to work and the the man who wanted it is thrilled with it. he is taking the pictures home tonight to show his wife and wants C. to bring it out to work tomorrow. This is how it turned out.I am still not that happy with it ,but if the client is happy than I am happy.
I think goofy looks really good for a walking stick. How much are you asking for him?

sold him for $70.00.
ReplyDeleteI may end up making a second one. Grandpa is buying it for his granddaughter birthday, his daughter saw it who also collects goofy's and said that she wants it for herself therefore they may want another one. I'll let you know.
